Our client, based in a picturesque coastal village in Norfolk, sought to transform a traditional brick and flint cottage into their forever home through a complete renovation and extension. The property required extensive work, including the installation of a heating system and addressing significant damp issues. The project needed to be approached with care, given the property’s location within a conservation area and being subject to a dark skies policy.
By closely listening to the client’s needs and respecting the constraints of the conservation area, we crafted a design that not only harmonized with the surrounding street scene but also met planning requirements. The extensions were designed using materials that complemented the original cottage, creating a cohesive story between the old and the new, while enhancing the home’s functionality and aesthetic appeal.
